Brother Jared was called to Carpenter's Cross in October of 2007. Prior to Carpenter's Cross, Jared pastored in Powell for nearly four years. He was raised in the Cedar Creek Lake area and lived there until he moved to Tyler.
Jared has a strong desire to preach the truth of God's Word to a sinful world. He believes in the inerrant and infallible Word of God, and seeks to preach this truth in an expository fashion. He further enjoys seeking out the answers to difficult questions, and discovering God's sovereignty in it all.
Jared received both his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and Master of Arts in Theological Philosophy from the Criswell College in Dallas, Texas. He is currently working through the applicaton process at Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky to pursue a degree in Applied Apologetics.

A native Texan, Cody moved to Ohio many years ago to pursue education and experience in the ministry. It was there that he met his wife Sarah, and began a life of chasing after God and seeking His will.
Carpenter's Cross considers itself blessed to have Cody as the Student Pastor. He brings a huge heart for students, and desires to see them each draw closer to God.
Cody is currently working on his Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies at Liberty University.
Amanda came on board with Carpenter's Cross in early 2009, and aids the church in administrative duties. Amanda plays a significant role in the orderliness of Carpenter's Cross, making sure that everything is established for the glory of God.
Amanda is currently working on her BA in Business at UT Tyler, and plans on continuing her education to bless the Lord in wherever He calls her. She feels a strong pull towards counseling and is hoping to serve the Lord in that capacity one day.
